How To care for your new skirt
Thankfully, skirts are pretty low maintenance. They do an amazing job of keeping you out on the water in the best and worst of weather.
There still are some best practices that you should consider to help your skirt stand the test of time.
Best Practices
1. Rinse in fresh water after use. Especially if used in salt water. Hang to dry out of direct sunlight.
2. After long expeditions or extended use, wash with a tech wash and hang to dry.
3. After washing, reapply DWR coating to nylon surfaces.
warranty
Our warranty is here to take care of you and protect you from any manufacturer defects. This would include fabric or seam tape delamination.
However, misuse and poor care void the warranty. For us this is the presence of mold as evidenced by little black or pink dots in the membrane. The presence of mold can cause fabric and seam tape delamination. It is also an indicator that you have not cleaned or properly dried the skirt between uses.
In short, take care of your gear, and we will take care of you.
