I haven’t had to use the kit in an emergency yet, but it looks like it will be great. My only gripe is that the pulleys don't mind the prusiks on the ropes in either of my throw bags. They would if I had larger diameter rope. I think my throw bags are pretty common sized rope so I was a bit disappointed. I added my own prusik loop to solve the issue. The only other complaint is that the SRT course that I took recommends a “4,3,2,1 kit”, 4 carabiners, 3 pulleys, 2 prusiks, and one piece of webbing. This kit has 2 pieces of webbing, but only 2 pulleys. Buy an extra, not a big deal. Great kit! Really like the biners.
Recently took a swift water
Recently took a swift water rescue course for river runners and this kit has all the pieces recommended by the course, seems solid.
