Gloves worked great despite my overall dislike of gloves for paddling.

I detest wearing gloves while paddling yet get cold fingers so I often opt for poagies but they don't work to well when kayak sailing, or when you know you are going to swim say during rescue practice etc. I've tried numerous gloves and end up returning as I just cannot feel the paddle or my fingers get even colder than no gloves. Tried out my newly ordered Glacier gloves and very impressed. They worked great (found that I needed some water in them to get trapped) and had enough dexterity to do a paddle float rescue and operate my sail lines. It was about 4 C outside, water was about the same with 15 - 20 knot winds adding to fun! Fingers were toasty.

    Warm gloves for sure!

Purchased these along with proton gloves. When I received them I immediately put my hands with these gloves on in cold water (10 Celsius) for 15 minutes. My hands barely noticed the cold water when I initially put my hand in and after that, nothing. Didn't even feel like my hand was wet or anything, even though it was. While I haven't properly tested them out yet, I have a feeling these will be my go-to gloves. Nice thing about these gloves is when you bend your fingers, water doesn't seem to enter into your hand thanks to the seams being liquid sealed. Also, compared to the proton gloves these are harder to get on and off. The proton gloves have quite a bit of stretch, but these granite ones have very little give. For this same reason, these are also stiffer in the fingers, so your hands may get tired holding the paddle. The difference doesn't seem to be much, but clearly its enough to notice. Overall, I am very pleased with these gloves.
